How to log in:
Once IVMS 4200 has downloaded, you will be asked to create a Super user account. After that is done and you are on the main screen, you will then want to log into your Hik-connect account found on the top right of the screen with a little cloud icon.
Creating Groups/ Adding cameras
On the right-hand side of the software home screen there will be a “Device Management” option which is where you will be able to create a folder and add activated cameras which you will be able to view live.
Once the device management screen has opened up, select the “Group” option found on the left-hand side and click on “Add Group”. This will then create a folder which will allow you to add cameras within the folder that you will wish to view live or playback.
Now that the folder has been created, you will now want to select the cameras of your choice that you wish to monitor. This can be done from the first option box on the same screen as the previous seps and as shown on the image below. Make sure to then select the cameras and exit back to the same page. The more camera’s selected, the more bandwidth required. Cameras selected will be added to the selected folder.
With the home screen opened up, you will want to select “Main View” which will open up a screen with all of the created folders and attached cameras to each folder.
Clicking the play button found on the folder will then stream all the active selected cameras at once, however it is very important to note that the more cameras are open at once, it will require more bandwidth. You can also open up individual cameras by clock on the play option in the folder.
Playback
- With the home screen opened, you will want to select the “Remote Playback” option.
- To select the camera footage, you want to play back you will have to click play the same way you would in Main View.
- To select the day that you want to view back on there is a calendar icon found on the top left of your screen. The day you - select on the calendar will be the day shown on the playback screen.
- You can select the hour of the day you want to view from which you want to play back. This option will be found along the bottom of the screen which you can scroll through until the hour you are looking for is found.
