PC Based: Windows Firewall Setup

This is best practice for EPOS systems. For systems with integrated card machines, this must be done.

1. Start > Administrative Tools > Windows Firewall with Advanced Security
2. Inbound Rules
3. Create New rule
   • EPOS System Rule
   • General: Allow Connection
   • Protocols/Ports: All
   • Scope: Remote IPs - All EPOS related IP addresses (IE: Tills, TOW, FTP)
   • Advanced: All 3 Types (Domain/Private/Public

Sidenote: For remote windows tasks to work (IE: Remote shutdown, start task, etc), the following rules must work
