1. Remove the plastic flap on the bottom of the base unit, and connect the power supply.
2. Connect an ethernet cable to the ethernet port at the back of the base.
3. Power on the PDQ machine by either placing on the base or holding the green button
4. When the PDQ machine powers on press the F3 button at the bottom of the screen
5. Press on the Control Panel button
6. Press on Terminal Setting
7. Press Communication Means
8. Press Bluetooth
9. Press Base
10. Press Association
11. Make sure the PDQ machine is sat correctly on the base and press New Base
12. Wait for the association process to finish and press the green button
13. Press the yellow button until you are back at the connection means screen
14. Press Wi-Fi
15. Press Disable
16. Press the yellow button
17. Press Mobile Networks
18. Press Switch Off
19. Press the red button to exit the control panel, the PDQ machine will then reset to apply these setting changes
20. Once the PDQ machine has turned back on check that connection status indicators at the top left of the screen, the bluetooth logo and the 3 squares beside it should both be green
21. Press the Grey Button to access the menu
21. Press the Grey Button to go to the next page
22. Press Supervisor and enter your supervisor password
23. Press Logon
24. Press All, this will test the connection to the internet
A docket will print out from the machine, make sure that both American Express and FDMS have both passed, if they have failed it means that the PDQ machine encountered an issue when connecting to the internet. Make sure that the ethernet cable going into the base is connected properly at both ends.
