Windows Event Viewer - Internet Connection Loss

*Windows 10 or higher only

Windows 10 uses Microsoft's telemetry server to verify that it has/hasn't got an active internet connection.

This is logged within the Windows Event Viewer

Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\UniversalTelemetryClient\Operational

Filter log by Event ID 55

This ID is outputted at the loss or gaining of an internet connection

on LTSC the general tab will not have any information, select the Details tab on the event:

State:

True - Internet Connection is available

False - Internet Connection is NOT available
