Each site has its own floor plan that allows the staff members to identify which tables are ordering and where they are located. Each section of a site will have its own floor plan for example the terrace will have its own floor plan in comparison to an indoor lounge found at the same site. The floor plan comes in two separate pieces, this is because you first have to upload the floor plan template file then the second step is to edit it.
- Once you have received the floor plan sheet from the site, make a copy of the program and open it up on your pc. This is because you will not want to make any changes on the till while the site may want to use the till to serve customers.
- Now that the program is running on your PC, open up photoshop and add in the floor plan template which can be found programs ICRTouch folder saved as "FLOORPLN.BMP"
- Make any changes to the templet using photoshop such as add walls ect...
- Now that you've made changes to the template, the the file as a BMP file with the same name as it was in the ICRTouch folder "FLOORPLN". If you do not save the file under that name, then the till will not be able to read it so therefore it will not show on the till when trying to open it up.
- After adding in the edited template in the ICRTouch folder, restart till so it can update itself with the new floor plan template.
- To add tables to the floor plan, on the till under "Management" sign on as engineer and select "Floor Plan". This is where you can now add the tables accordingly to the table plan that has been provided by the site.
Alternative
Here I have listed steps on an alternative way of editing the tables of the floor plan without having to do it on the customers till. This method can be really useful is the client needs the table plan updated then and there however they are using the till so you can not be making any changes on there.
1. Pull back a copy of the customers program.
2. After adding the floor plan template to the copied program, head over to the management to make the changes to the tables.
3. After the table changes have been made, head over to the ICRtouch folder on the copied program and go into the "Prog" folder
4. In the prog folder you will find the following two files that hold the tables setting so once you copy them over to the till, the changes will automatically be imported meaning that you will no longer need to be on the customers till to make the changes.
Folders:
-Tablepl2.dt
-TABLEPLN.DT
-TABLEPLN.BNP
