Set menu

A key advantage of set menus over List PLUs is that set menus will print the item according to that individual item's printer settings, instead of attaching itself to the main product. One good example of where this may matter, is where an item + a drink choice is offered, as you would want them to print in different places (ie. the drink choice shouldn't go to the kitchen)

• When creating a set menu, the process seems pretty similar to when creating a list PLU except that it has different outcomes or functions. 
• There are two different type of set menus that you can create, the first one Is creating It with the Item Type set to PLU. This setting will cause for all included products to be selected all at one time. The other way is also the most common way which is to set the item type as a List PLU, this will now allow the user to select which product they want out off all the ones that have been put in the list PLU. 
• Not all sites may have access to set menus on their TOW account, this is because set menu’s may not have been enabled from account settings by the account admin. 
• To enable the set menu, go to settings found at the top right corner of the screen, then once you’re on that screen there should be a box section named “permissions”. In that section you will then be able to see the “View set menu” and “Edit set menu” tick boxes, make sure to tick them so that they turn green. You will then be able to find the “Set Menu” Under Programming options. 

On TOW go to Set Menu found under programming -> Name one of the set menu slots accordingly ->

Click on the List PLU number to open programming options. Select the key type -> enter the PLU number under “item”. 

Your final step is to then create a new PLU button which you will add onto the screen accordingly. when creating the new PLU, under option windows make sure to select the correct set menu option.
