There are different ways in which you can image a till system.

Imaging through serial:

- Open Macrium on the till

- Select the "Restore" tab found on the top right of the application

- Select the "Brows for an image"

- You you have found the drive with the correct image, make sure to select it.

- This will then list is the file path on the Macrium main screen

- Once that is listed, press on the "Restore" button found on the tab in the middle of the screen

- You will then be asked to select the drive you want to restore to, make sure to select the drive that the till is running off

- Final step is to select "Next" and it will start to restore it.

Imaging through network:

Majority of the time, tills will get reimaged using an external drive with all the files already on there prior to plugging it into the till.

When booting the till, it is very important to make sure that the Ethernet cable has been connected to the till as it will not allow the user to log into the network where the image backup had been made and where you can access the disk image.

  • Enter the “existing back up” tab that will be found towards the top left of the Macrium screen.
  • Once you are on that tab, you will want to select “brows for an image file”
  • This will then open up a log in screen which will require a “share” “username” and “password”. The details are.

Share: \\ebm\ebm

Username: ebm

Password: Bro@dband2

These details will be used to log you into the server here the dis image will be stored.

Once you have logged in, you will then be given the options of which file you will want to select the image to be loaded into. You can pick whichever you like or accordingly the scenario
