In transaction keys you will want to skip a few pages until you find the next free slot which will have the name TRN KEY and then a number, it will look something like this.

Click on the number in the red button and it will bring you to this screen.

Underneath Descriptor is where you can change the name of this discount.

In the Keytype section there is a drop down menu, to make this a discount you need to select the one called -%

The Preset section is where you would enter the amount of percentage discount you want, however for example if you wanted a 25% discount you would need to add two zeros on the end otherwise it would be a 0.25% discount. Therefore a 25% discount would be written as 2500 in the preset % section like this.

Underneath there is the Flags section. This i where you can change how the discount performs

Not allowed after an item tick box is what ensures that the discount will only apply to the subtotal of the order. If this isn't ticked then the discount will only apply to the last item like this.

Whereas if this tick box is selected then the discount will apply to the subtotal of the order like this.

Applies to PLUs tick box is where the discount will apply on all products as a standard discount.

Applies to selective itemiser 1 tick box is where if ticked the discount will only apply to Drinks.

Applies to selective itemiser 2 tick box is where if ticked the discount will only apply to food.

Once this is done you can then add the button to the till's keyboard which is very similar to adding an item, just as a guide please see steps below.

1. On TouchOffice Web click on Programming and then click on keyboard allocation.

6. In the next drop down you want to select the discount you just created, it will have the name that you put in the descriptor section earlier.
