Discount transaction Key

Discount transaction keys will allow you to discount a product of your choice as well as select which days it can be active on as well as the hours it can be active.

There are two new Etal scripts to be added to tills that you are assisting in order to have the button work as well as it possibly could.  

How to set up:

On the correct TWO account, under programming click on the Transaction keys option and make sure to select the first free slot down that isn't in operation already.After you have found a free slot, make sure to click on the red number button found on the right side of the screen.

Once you click on the red number button, this screen will show up. 

- In the Descriptor section, you will be able to name the button accordingly to how or why you want this button set up just like in the image above. This will show up on the button once you add it to the till. 

- For the key type, you will want to select the discount percentage type (-%). This type of key will allow you to reduce the price of the selected button by the percentage amount you have set.

- In the preset section, this is where you determinate the percentage that you want to reduce by once the transaction key has been made. In the example from the image, I have inputted the number 50 meaning that it will reduce by 50% every time I use this button.

Now that the key has been set up on the TOW account, you will then need to add in the two new Etal scripts onto the tills that you are looking to add the button onto. 

These two scripts will reduce the amount of buttons that have to be pressed in order to have the button working as well as it will allow you to add dates and times that you want the button to be working on your till.

Once the two new scripts are added onto the tills, it is really important to restart the tills as restarting them will allow the till read and recognize the new folder.

Now that the scripts are added in, your final step is to add the new button onto the screen as well setting the date and time of which you want the button to be active. 

On the till, enter program mode> All Prog> Etal> Limit discount Keys

Once you are on the Limit discount keys screen, make sure to enable the "Enable Scripts?" scripts option found the top of the page and select the next free available discount key and click enter.

Under discount key setup menu, select the correct discount key that you have previously set up on the TOW account. Then select the correct day that you want your button to be active on and make sure it is left on yes. Further down you will then be able to select the hours that you want that button to work on the day/days you have selected.

IMPORTANT:

This button will only discount the last time that you have rung on the till.

For the button to work, you will have to select the item first and then click on the discount button.
