Creating a redeem deposit key

Some restaurants that take table reservations tend to ask their customers for a deposit that the customer gets back as long as they show up to their reservation. This is done thought from receive on account and as soon as the customer shows up, the “redeem deposit” button will be selected which then gets the money back to the customer.

  • Log into the back office of the site that you are looking to add the deposit key for.
  • Under programming there is the “transaction key” option which is where you create the deposit button. However, you wont get given a PLU for this button, it is just a regular number.
  • Once you have selected a number that you will add your deposit key to, select the number and make sure to select the key type to deposit and the present in drawer to any of the free available drawers.
  • After saving those changes, go into the “fixed totalisers”  found under programming. You will the see a similar screen like your previous one but we will only be focusing on the first 8 number on there which we will select the same available drawers that we have picked in our pre-set and name it Deposit redeemed.
  • Maker sure to go into the button settings depending on which drawers you have selected and tick off the “Do not add to TI in drawer”.
  • The final step is now to copy the “DepositandRefundReferance” folder found in the drop box etal folder. Paste it into the program you want to adjust. Make sure to edit the script found in the folder in order so that it can link back to the same number as that transaction key.
