Uploading a custom skin through TOW

Created by Alex Schipor, Modified on Tue, 15 Oct, 2024 at 4:44 PM by Barney Nagy

1. Make a new folder folder and call it customskin.

2. Copy the Images folder from the desired program and paste in the new customskin folder.

3. In the skin folder, there is a folder for the specific skin that is used. Copy it and paste it in the customskin folder. Please note, copying the skin folder itself will cause the upload to error, you need the skin itself. !!The name of this folder must be skin!!

4. Go to Dropbox -> PC BASED -> Fonts -> Get the "FONTS.XML.TOW" file, and go into the skin folder and overwrite fonts.xml. You have to rename it from FONTS.XML.TOW to fonts.xml. This is done as the font is visibly smaller on TOW, and it may make text hard to read.

5. Copy the PALLETTE.BMP file (from the root of the ICRTouch folder) and paste it in the customskin folder.

6. Highlight all of the contents of the customskin folder and right click, then select 7zip, click "Add to archive".

7. Create a .zip file from that screen, !!NOT A .7Z FILE, this will cause the upload to error.

8. Login to touch office web and click on programming, then click on keyboard allocation.

9. Then click on upload a custom skin and select the zipped folder you made and then click upload.
