Creating menu levels

  • On the sites Touch Office account click on Departments screen found under Programming. . It is important to note that all the menu levels are spaced and placed accordingly to each site. For example, you cant just place a new food menu level just anywhere on the list.
  • In the departments screen you will be able to see all the previously created levels as well as slots that will allow you to create your own new menu level. This will be done by selecting an empty slot and naming it accordingly to what type of products you will be inserting inside on the till keyboard. It is also important to remember what slot number it was as it you will have to scroll and find it on the keyboard later on.

To actually put this menu level to use, there are a couple of things that must be done. Firstly, a status key must be created with the "Menu Level Shift" function (Please note, Menu Level Shift 2 is mostly used for manager screens / restricted to some clerks through TOW). To this status key, you can assign the menu level you have just created and exit out of settings. Go to the desired screen you want to add the menu level shift to, and assign that status key to a button. Please note: you may want to add this button to all other screens in this category (Meaning that if you made a starters screen, you should see the starters on mains, kids, desserts and etc.)
